Glenneith Burgess

When I think of Uncle Glenneith the thought that seems to sum him up is that he cared.  He was truly a giver in his relationships.   Anytime I’ve been around him…I always left feeling loved and encouraged.

I can’t help but think that the Lord of all creation and the giver of life and life more abundantly is today soaking up all of the love that Uncle Glenneith so easily expressed in this life.  I believe even now he is included in that cloud of witnesses that is referred to in the Book of Hebrews still doing what came so natural to him. 

I will truly miss him with a sadness that fills my heart for all he was to me and even more for all he was to those the closest to him.  I love you guys so much and my heart is with you.  I’m sure his memory will continue to encourage all of us just as the way he lived his life did.

Our hearts are so heavy because of the passing of one of our best friends!!!! We are so happy we have so many wonderful memories that we can hold on to!! We took a road trip to Branson, Mo many years ago and had such a great time laughing and enjoying each others stories!! We have talked many times about taking another trip there but not a road trip (even tho Bro. Burgess said he would do the driving!) my husband drove the whole way!! LOL We also took a trip to Paris and Spain with them and had such a great time!! We are so happy we were able to have these memories!! He will be missed and always be remember as a wonderful friend and a great Man of God!!! We will never understand the whys...but we don't need to understand...we just need to hold God's hand!!
Sis Burgess,Carla and Shannon we love you and we are praying God will strenthen you and comfort you and your families and all the extended familes at this time of sorrow! i will never for get the good times that i spent with elder he was a true christian at church. at home .everyware he went he was a christian. i was blessed to be with him in the good times and some of the worst times of his life he was allways a true christian example to me.he tought me so much in life wen i was full of hate and bitterness he spent manny hours working on me  i can truly say that thats why im the man that i am today .he was my father in law.   my  friend. my pastor. my dad. and i will allways miss him .he was a man that gave to people all his life and most of the time without anything in return  and i never heard one negitive word not one.he was a man that gave   "ALL"

To Sis. Elder Burgess,
You and Elder have always been an inspiration to Jared and I. You are the true meaning of a beautiful marriage. Thank you Sis. Elder Burgess. We love you with all our heart and are praying for God to wrap his arms of love around you. 

To Pastor S. Burgess & Sis. Britt Burgess,
Please know that we are praying for your family. Your father was an amazing man and pastor who meant so much to us. He was proud of your family and the work of God that you are continuing. We love you!

To Bro. Tim & Sis. Carla & Family,

My prayers and thoughts are with the Burgess family and church family during this time. I met the good Elder several years ago he was always kind and a gentleman. I enjoyed hearing him preach and loved being in his company. There is an old saying "earth holds no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal." May the Grace and Peace of the Lord be with y'all during this time. Elder I will meet you in the morning.

I will never forget Elder Burgess and all he has done for my family and I. He has done more for us than anyone may know and I will always be greatful. It hurts to know that I didn't tell him thank you or I Love you enough. Though I haven't attended the church for some years now and I lead a different life, I will always think of Elder as my Pastor. I have so many memories of him and all of his wonderful preaching's. I know the way to salvation because of him. I know how to be saved because of him. I can have discussions with people about the bible and many of Elder Burgess' preaching's come back to me and I can use those to teach people about the truth and I can quote scriptures to prove the truth because of him. I can't imagine where I would be without his guidance. I will always love and cherish you Elder Burgess. You have blessed the lives of so many. Thank you so much for everything. I will never forget you.

Hearing of Bro Glenn's passing saddened me and got me thinking of so many memories.  I remember he and his family all the way back to when they first came to Washington state when I was very young.  I had the priviledge of spending time with them, both at our home and church as well as theirs, of knowing him as both a friend of the family as well as my pastor for a brief time.  Bro Burgess was always the man who came to mind when I thought of someone who fully embodied being a true follower of Christ.  Regardless of choices I made in my life and where they took me, anytime I saw Bro Burgess he treated me no differently than any other time in my life.  He truly was an incredible man and his passing has left a huge hole in the world.  I can only hope that he left knowing just how many people he touched in a positive way during his time here.  My deepest condolences to his family as they go on without him.
